Students are confused about admission in intermediate schools of Gopalganj district. The Bihar School Examination Board has not yet released the merit list for admission. The earlier released merit list was withdrawn by the board. Students are waiting for the merit list to be released. After passing the matriculation examination, Bihar School Examination Board had sought online applications through the OFSS portal for admission in intermediate.
In this application, the students filled the option of selecting the institutions as per the rules. But a few days after the application, a letter was issued from the education department, in which it was said that every student will take admission in class 11 in the same school from which he has passed the matriculation examination. Not only this, the calendar of admission and studies was also released. It was also said that studies would start without admission. However, nothing like this happened in practice. In such a situation, the students got confused.
According to the information, students were not able to understand where they should take admission? Should they take admission in the school from where they have passed the matriculation examination or the board will release the merit list for this and admission should be taken according to that. Meanwhile, the first merit list for admission was released by the Bihar School Examination Board.
Hearing the case filed by the students on the second day of the release of the merit list, the High Court said that the Bihar School Examination Board should ensure the admission process based on the choice of institute filled by the student through OFSS. In such a situation, the board again issued a letter and gave the students a chance to correct the choice of admission. Then the earlier released merit list was withdrawn. Since then, the students are waiting for the merit list to be released by the board so that they can get admission. The parents of the students are also in a dilemma regarding admission. They are trying to get information about admission by contacting the educational institutions, but no accurate information is being found anywhere.
It is worth noting that the month of June is about to end, but the admission for intermediate has not started yet. After the matriculation results were declared on time, the students thought that they would soon be enrolled in intermediate and their studies would begin, but this did not happen. The two-year session of intermediate is from April to April. Accordingly, educational activities are conducted in the institutes. Three months of the 11th session are about to pass, but there is no sign of admission yet.
